Achieve better results with hard work and dedication: Senior IAS Vani Mohan – Times of India

Amaravati: Principal secretary for youth services and sports, Dr G Vani Mohan has observed that students can achieve anything with hard work, concentration, dedication and continuous studies. She suggested the students not to delay learning in life. Addressing the annual students festivity at Vignan university-Vignan Mahotsav in Guntur district on Wednesday, Vani Mohan said that every student should make plans to achieve something in life.
“Students should enjoy every phase and every minute of life and reach the shores of success. Students should not be limited to studies but should actively participate in yoga, music, games, cultural activities, and social service activities. Students should not feel disappointed when they face defeat and reach the shores of victory,” said Vani Mohan.
More than 20000 students attended the sports and cultural contest at Vignan university. The student athletes from different states held a march-past and presented guard of honour to the chief guest and other guests. Vignan educational institutions group chairman Dr. Lavu Rathaiah said that students should give high priority to fitness. He said that they have also decided to give credits for fitness at the university to keep the students fit. He said that students would be mentally fit only when they are physically fit. “We are organizing the national-level event to make students know how to work as a team and learn leadership qualities,” said Rathaiah. Vignan university vice-chancellor professor P.
Nagabhushan said that the youth should bring out their strengths and skills and venerate the reputation of India. “The Mahotsav is intended to foster creativity, as youth have inherent creative abilities. Education is not available only books. It is very much available in sports and cultural programs. The youth should use their inbuilt energies for the benefit of the country,” advised Dr Nagabhushan. Registrar Dr MS Raghunathan, deans and other faculty members were present.
The grand Mahotsav was held in 82 activities. The inaugural sporting feat included national competitions for students in sports such as volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, table tennis, chess, athletics, and throw ball. Aside from these, national contests in technical and artistic areas such as cultural, literary, fine arts, fashion, music, dance, spotlight, theatrical arts, and others were launched. Special track and field events were organized for para-athletics students.
