Ace up the sleeve of shock new Munster suitor
The Roosters will have a massive ace up each sleeve if they decide to make a move on rugby league’s most wanted man, Cameron Munster.
Rumours have been sweeping through the game for the past 24 hours that the Roosters are poised to join the Dragons, Dolphins and Broncos in trying to lure Munster away from Melbourne.

The Roosters are denying they are in the race – but that could change.
The tricolours are struggling for continuity in the halves this season, with youngster Sam Walker and veteran Luke Keary having their moments but not playing consistently.
Munster would give the Roosters the strike power they are lacking in the halves and make them a genuine title contender again.
So why would Munster go to the Roosters should they enter the race?
Firstly, the big-spending Roosters have already signed one Melbourne superstar in Brandon Smith – a close mate of Munster.
And secondly, Munster’s manager Braith Anasta played most of his football at the Roosters and is close to club supremo Nick Politis – another big plus for the club.
YOUNG GUN KNIGHT ON THE MOVE
Utility back Tex Hoy could be the next player to leave the under-performing Knights.
Hoy, who has been given a chance to show his wares in recent weeks and played fairly well, is being shopped around by his management.
The 22-year-old local junior, who can play both fullback and five-eighth, is looking for a regular top grade spot and has had expressions of interest from a couple of clubs.
RIVALS KEEPING AN EYE ON RISING TIGER
The Tigers have signed themselves a superb hooker in Api Koroisau for 2023 and have another boom No.9 coming through the ranks.
Tallyn Da Silva, 18, was a standout in the Wests Magpies’ undefeated Harold Matthews Cup team this season.
Fast and clever, he is very much in the Koroisau mould and looms as the heir apparent to the hooking spot in years to come.
But the Tigers need to be on their guard – Da Silva comes off contract at the end of 2023 and rival clubs are already waiting in line to have a chat to him.

CHEEKY POST FROM WARRIORS ALLY
You need a sense of humour to be a fan of the Warriors.
And the Auckland Blues gave the Warriors something to smile about after thrashing the Melbourne Rebels 71-28 on Friday night.
Just a week after the Melbourne Storm thumped the Warriors by 70 points, the Blues returned the favour and put out this cheeky post on social media to their cross-town rivals.
“70 on Melbourne – that was for you @NZWarriors”.
