One of the best aspects that Friern Barnet School has that stands out from other schools is the Able and Ambitious program. The Able and Ambitious program aimed to enrich the school lives of students in the school. Ms. Bachelor, founder of the Able and Ambitious program stated that, “When the program was first established, I wanted to provide student that were able and students that were ambitious with more extra-curricular opportunities that can make their school lives more productive. In my opinion, the Able and Ambitious program seemed to have a positive effect on many students across different year groups and I am glad that the program has been effective.”
The program not only encourages students to always put in their best into their work, but also provided many valuable experiences in which students have taken full advantage of. One member of the Able and Ambitious program details that, “It’s nice to see how there are some teachers who are really passionate about getting students to push ourselves to be the best that we can be. It just goes to show how passionate some teachers are about our learning.” The Able and Ambitious program truly has had a wondrous influence on our school.
