Aanand L Rai announces new film Tere Ishk Mein with Dhanush on Raanjhanaa’s 10th anniversary

Aanand L Rai revealed the title of his next film with Dhanush and shared its first teaser on Wednesday. The movie is called Tere Ishk Mein and marks their reunion after Raanjhanaa, which completed a decade since its release.

The filmmaker took to his Instagram and wrote, “Kuch kahaniyan kisi purane dost jaisi mil jaati hain! Jo haath nahin milaati, seedhe aake gale lag jaati hain…10 saal pehle ek aisi hi kahani mili thi humein… Kundan ki kahani.”

“Dost tha mera, par jee naa saka… uska mood nahi tha jeena ka! Ab 10 saal baad phir ek kissa aaya hai; Kundan aur ye ladka ek se hi hain, bus iska mood duniya phoonk dene ka hai! Sirf aapke liye…Tere Ishk Mein,” he added.

The video features an angry Dhanush, holding a petrol bomb while smoking, running towards a wall as glass shatters around him in the dark of the night. In the end, he says, “Pichli baar toh Kundan tha, maan gaya. Par iss baar Shankar ko kaese rokoge.”

The video ends with Dhanush hurling a petrol bomb at a wall, causing a fire that engulfs a chariot before he storms off. The actor sports a beard and long hair while donning a grey T-shirt, shirt, and denim. Meanwhile, an instrumental rendition of AR Rahman’s music from Raanjhanaa serves as the background score.

Tere Ishk Mein is helmed by Aanand L Rai and its story, dialogues, and screenplay are penned by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. Himanshu has produced the movie while AR Rahman has been brought on board for music and Irshad Kamil for lyrics. The remaining cast of the film is yet to be disclosed.
