A Place In The Sun star pleads for help as she gets trapped while filming show

A Place In The Sun presenter Leah Charles-King had been filming the Channel 4 show with a new set of house hunters in Crete, Greece, before she got stuck inside a bathroom at a luxury property.

Luckily, Leah had her phone to hand and was able to document the comical ordeal for her 12.7k Instagram followers.

After being confined in the cream-coloured bathroom for around 15 minutes, Leah sought help from members of the A Place In The Sun crew.

Keeping her spirits high, she said in a clip: “I’ve passed the key through the door, Steve’s trying to get me out. Thank God it’s a luxury property!”

Leah shared a glimmer of hope when she revealed the bathroom was on the ground floor.

However, she then discovered that there was a net covering the window which she would need to cut through in order to escape.

Several minutes of incarceration later, a group of men came to Leah’s rescue and tried with all their might to free her from the room.

However, things weren’t as quick as she thought as they grappled with the door handle to try and free her.

Captioning her video she said: “Help has arrived but it looks like this is my new home now…I’m stuck here. Forever.”

Whilst she waited patiently, she asked her Instagram fans: “How many guys does it take to unlock a door?” Before confirming she could hear her rescuers and would step away from the door while they kicked it down.

Finally, she was released and in a fit of giggles recorded a video thanking her pal for saving the day.

She also tagged @downingsteeve, a crew member on the hit show, quipping that he was “useless” in the rescue mission.

Whilst Steve said “Excellent work buddy” to her rescue team, Leah recapped the situation and explained that she didn’t know what had happened and the door had locked trapping her inside.

A Place In The Sun can be seen on Channel 4 every weekday afternoon from 4pm.
