Mario Dumaual, veteran entertainment journalist, dies at 63
Entertainment journalist Mario Dumaual has died, his family confirmed to ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, July 5. He was 63 years old.
Dumaual suffered from a heart attack and was confined at a hospital, according to a statement from his son Miguel last June.
“Papa’s never once been confined in my 32 years, so this experience has been overwhelming,” he stated. “The constant stream of messages and well wishes for Papa—from his friends in the industry and countless others he’s worked with or briefly encountered, and even kind strangers—they have been a heartwarming reminder of how loved he is,” he said on Facebook.
Further details about his internment are yet to be disclosed, as of this writing.
Dumaual is one of the most prolific entertainment journalists in the country, and has interviewed many celebrities throughout the course of his career.
