This week is packed with female-led movies and shows. From Vidya Balan’s Neeyat and Sonam Kapoor’s comeback movie Blind to Rasika Dugal-starrer Adhura, the line-up is pretty impressive. The week will also mark the release of not one but two Korean titles – Past Lives and Return to Seoul.

Audiences who caught Joyland at the Cannes Film Festival have been raving about the film that follows a man who joins a Burlesque theatre where he falls in love with a trans woman. It will finally be out on OTT this week.

Insidious: The Red Door, the latest chapter of the Insidious series, is set ten years after the second instalment. It follows Josh Lambert as he drops his son Dalton off to an Ivy League University. However, demons are back to haunt the father and son duo.

Neeyat is an upcoming whodunnit that will see Vidya Balan don her detective hat. The Anu Menon directorial will follow the mysterious murder case of a rich man in a Knives Out-style movie.

In her comeback movie and OTT debut, Sonam Kapoor plays a visually impaired detective out to nab a serial killer. From what we’ve seen in the trailer, it’s shaping up to be quite a convincing act.

Before Barbie and Oppenheimer, we have a clash between female-led movies between Neeyat, Blind and Tarla. The film will see an unrecognisable Huma Qureshi play the beloved home chef who revolutionised the food industry.
