Jennifer Lawrence on ‘No Hard Feelings’ nude scene: ‘I didn’t even have a second thought’
The audience isn’t going to want to cover their eyes when Jennifer Lawrence pops up on the screen in her new movie, “No Hard Feelings.”
The Oscar winner, 32, stripped off her clothes for the racy R-rated summer flick, in which she portrays a woman being paid to date a wealthy couple’s son (played by Andrew Barth Feldman).
There is one specific scene where Lawrence’s character, Maddie, is naked while at the beach.
Feldman, 21, and the “Hunger Games” alum sat down with Variety and spoke about why the NSFW moments were easy to shoot.
“Everyone in my life and my team is doing the right thing and going, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure?’” Lawrence explained.
She joked: “I didn’t even have a second thought. It was hilarious to me.”
The beach scene took one day to film and the actors went through “a lot of rehearsal” to prepare, she went on.
“No Hard Feelings” is full of raunchy shots and sexually-explicit humor — things that the stars felt safe shooting while on set.
Feldman chimed in: “Every situation that these characters end up in, you’re laughing your butt off. We became so close instantly that nothing ever felt weird or unsafe. It was entirely professional.”
The “Silver Linings Playbook” actress then quipped: “Even when I put my T-shirt over your head and motor-boated you? You felt safe?”
“I felt it was an exclusively sterile and professional environment.” the “Dear Evan Hansen” star said.
The sex comedy debuted in theaters on June 23 and grossed $6.25 million on opening day, according to IMDB’s Box Office Mojo.
It placed fourth at the domestic box office this weekend and currently has an 88% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Matthew Broderick, Laura Benanti, Natalie Morales, Scott MacArthur and Ebon Moss-Bachrach also make appearances in the movie.
Lawrence further spoke about “No Hard Feelings” when she got candid with Cameron Diaz in the latest issue of Interview Magazine.
“Charlie’s Angels” actress, 50, teased Lawrence that she was “born to do hard R comedies.”
“It might be your sweet spot,” Diaz exclaimed.
Lawrence also noted that she’s “always wanted to do comedy” movies and has been asked multiple times in the past to sign on to one.
She stated: “I was never against it, but you’ve seen the movies that come out. I don’t want to name anything specifically, but there hasn’t been anything that funny.”
