Top European theme park set to open £10m new attraction
A TOP European theme park is set to open a new £10million attraction this year.
The park has promised that its new investment will bring guests “several new experiences full of adventure”.
Toverland in Sevenum, the Netherlands, has announced a series of new elements in its medieval-themed Avalon world, as part of the development, for people of all ages.
They include four new attractions: two large and two small, an adventurous water playground, a colourful toddler playground and “special experience elements” that are “full of magic”.
The theme park claims: “In 2023, several new experiences full of adventure, adrenaline and mysticism await you here.
“This area will come to life even more, because not all stories have been told about this mysterious area yet.”
The first of those four new attractions is Pixarus, the “flight school of magic”.
Guests will “learn as a student of Merlin what it is like to be able to really fly”.
Those on the ride will get to choose how often their individual cars roll over.
Next up will be the Dragonwatch drop tower, from which parkgoers will drop from 55 feet.
For younger guests, there’s the garden tour for which the wizard Merlin “invites you to take a look at his special garden full of magical flowers, plants and scenes”.
Finally, there’s the Jumping Juna adventure carousel, which offers kids the chance to ride on the backs of unicorn Juna and dragon Sparky.
The rides will add to the those already in the world, including Fēnix, a rollercoaster that goes upside down three times and Merlin’s Quest boat ride, among several other attractions.
Guests will be able to try the new attractions from July 1, after the park announced the opening date earlier this year.
They said: ” It promises to be one big party that weekend in the completely renewed area.”
Tickets to the park start from £25 for adults and £19 for kids.
If it’s your birthday, you get free entry, as do children under 90cm tall.
Meanwhile, a new £3.6million adventure park has opened in the Cotswolds with zip wires and secret chambers.
And a new £250m waterpark is going to be built in the UK.
