Jeremy Clarkson accused by furious locals of using Diddly Squat Farm to ‘gain publicity’

Jeremy Clarkson, 61, is again facing the anger of villagers who have purportedly written to the council over his plans to convert a lambing shed into a restaurant in the area. Tension between the broadcaster and Chipping Norton locals had been rising, which led him to call a meeting about his plans for Diddly Squat.

Following the announcement of Jeremy’s latest plans for the farm, some locals have been submitting objections to the West Oxfordshire District Council, according to OxfordshireLive.

The parish council told the news outlet it was “concerned” about the effects of the new restaurant “on the local community, its existing shops and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”.

The source continued: “The number of cars currently visiting this site is already substantial.”

The insider added that car owners tend to park on the Chipping Norton Road if the parking lot is full, which could cause accidents.
