Watch as barn find explorer discovers a 40-year-old Ford Capri

A BARN finds explorer has discovered a classic Ford Capri that has covered less than 60k miles in 40 years.

The explorer travelled to Portsmouth to see the 2.8-litre Capri, also revealing that the owner of this supercar sadly passed away last year – and now his daughter has reluctantly put the iconic motor up for auction.

YouTuber @imstozke took to social media to show his subscribers how the car is holding up after being stored in a barn for a number of years.

This particular Capri has had two owners from new and includes pepper pot alloy wheels in “amazing” condition.

It’s finished in blue metallic paint, but the front off-side wing has had a particularly poor respray and is a completely different shade..

He explained: “I’ve seen the Ford Capri is in exceptional condition, with one or two marks here and there.

“After all, this is a barn find, so it will come with characteristics from being laid dormant for many years.

“Having said that again, this Ford will clean up extremely well and will make someone a very happy owner.

“Thanks to Amy and her family for allowing me to come and do a video on her Father’s Capri.

“And a huge thank you to Jonathan at (Humbert & Ellis Auctions Ltd) for thinking of me and getting me permission to do the episode, too.”

@imstozke also points out that the Capri is up at auction – alongside other vehicles from the estate – with no reserve, encouraging people to get involved in the bidding.

He says: “…bid away ladies and gentlemen, and let’s help put Amy’s late father’s vehicles back into commission.”

Viewers were quick to comment and were extremely positive about the classic find.
