Fans go wild for ‘Poundland Grealish’ who almost fools Sky Sports host

FOOTBALL fans were left in hysterics after Sky Sports presenter Dave Jones almost mistook a Jack Grealish look-a-like for the Manchester City forward.

City supporters invaded the pitch at full-time after their 1-0 win over Chelsea – having clinched the Premier League title on Saturday following Arsenal’s defeat to Nottingham Forest.

And the Man City players were quickly ushered off to protect them from the onrushing crowd.

The fans wandered around the pitch taking in the stadium celebrations.

But as the cameras scanned across the field, they caught a man that looked strikingly like Grealish.

And the hair and face of the fan almost caught out Sky Sports host Jones.

As it cut to the supporter, Jones could be heard saying: “I thought that was Grealish then for a second.”

Social media then poured in with their reaction to the Grealish look-a-like as Sky Sports’ Premier League account labelled him “Gack Jrealish”.

One fan said: “The Poundland Jack Grealish.”

Another replied: “I was waiting for this tweet ???????????? the camera stayed on him for a solid minute I was convinced they thought that was Jack.”

A third added: “Looks like the love child of Jack Grealish and Harvey Elliott.”

A fourth responded: “This is Jack in his first season with City ????.”

And another simply said: “Jack when he retires.”

Grealish was in amongst the Man City players as they celebrated their title triumph.

It comes towards the end of a sensational season for the ex-Aston Villa man – who has significantly improved after a difficult first campaign in Manchester.

He has registered five goals and 11 assists in 48 appearances during the 2022/23 season.

And Grealish could yet claim two more trophies as Man City head into finals of both the FA Cup and Champions League.
