I’m a travel expert – here’s why you should always get on a plane LAST
A SAVVY traveller has revealed why you should always be the last to board the plane.
Lucas Chesterton has shared a handy travel hack you might want to try the next time you are jetting off to warmer climes.
The travel expert explains why you should resist the urge to be first in line when it comes to boarding.
And how having a little bit of patience could make for a more comfortable flight.
Instagrammer Lucas shared a video of himself at the airport about to board a flight, he said: “Today I am going to share a little travel hack with you all.
“So, whenever you are waiting to board a flight, don’t stand up and line up like all of these guys, sit down, relax and be the last one on.
He went on to explain that when it is the final call and he knows that no one else is coming, that is when he will go and scan in and board the flight.
He said: “When I walk on the flight, I will look for two or three seats by themself and I’ll take those seats and get a row to myself.”
Lucas then shows exactly what he means in the video as he makes his way to the flight to “show how it’s done.”
As he boards the plane the travel expert spots “Front row seats in Premium economy” and bags his place in the cabin.
He sits down in a window seat with a whole row to himself and plenty of legroom.
People in the comments were quick to share their thoughts on the clever travel hack, but not everyone was convinced.
One person said: “I’ve never seen this work.
“Flight attendants always make you sit in the seat you’re assigned to.
“I’ve been moved back even after moving seats post-take-off.”
Another commented: “But not the best idea if you travel with hand baggage, there may be no space left for it.”
While another person said: “I prefer to be in boarding group 1 so I can sit and wait inside the plane, but that might just be me.”
Another added that it was “Not a good idea for overbooking.”
