Samsung Galaxy A52: Latest security update bring RAM Plus feature to Samsung Galaxy A52 – Times of India

Samsung Galaxy A52 is getting a new security update. While it updates the Android security patch to the month of October, a major highlight of the update is RAM Plus feature.
RAM Plus feature allows users to virtually expand the in-built RAM of their device to up to 4GB. It helps improve multitasking on the phone and enhances overall performance.
It must be noted that the feature was rolled out to Galaxy A52 5G users last month. This time, Samsung is rolling out the RAM Plus feature to the phone’s 4G variant. As reported by Sammobile, the firmware version A525FXXU4AUI3 should contain the new feature. It also fixes over 60 vulnerabilities on the phone.
Those interested can check for the update by heading to the Settings on the Samsung Galaxy A52 smartphone. Once they have installed the update on their device, the RAM Plus feature can be accessed from the Settings > Battery and device care > Memory menu.
What is the RAM Plus feature?
As mentioned above, the RAM Plus feature allows users to expand their phone’s memory virtually. It uses memory from the storage to enhance multitasking. Users can virtually increase the phone’s RAM by up to 4GB.
The primary purpose of having virtual RAM is to make memory management better. With apps and games increasing in size, having virtual RAM will help your phone to keep more apps open on the RAM.
Samsung has already rolled out this feature to Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. With the Galaxy A52 addition, the current count increases to four Samsung devices. Some of the Realme phones also offer this feature as Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE). While other brands like Oppo, Xiaomi are said to be considering virtual RAMs in smartphones.
