‘I was 100 percent ready…’ says Ram Charan about performing to Naatu Naatu at the Oscars

SS Rajamouli’s RRR has broken records on several International platforms now. It is a matter of great pride to have an Indian film win so many accolades in prestigious award ceremonies like the Oscars and Golden Globe. 

There have been a lot of speculations being made on why Jr NTR and Ram Charan weren’t seen matching their steps to the song despite expectations. Now Ram Charan has gone on to express that he was ready to perform and was waiting for a call, as reported on a leading entertainment platform.

Even though he did not reveal too much information about it, he was quoted stating, “I was ready, I was 100 per cent ready to get that call but I truly don’t know what happened. But let’s not talk about it because the troupe who did it there, were fantastic and they did a better job than us. I have done it so many times and at so many stages at different awards and interviews.

 So now, it is for us to relax and enjoy the show and (watch) somebody else perform for India… I feel it is no longer our song, it is India’s song, it is junta’s (people) song, they have taken us to the (Oscars) carpet.” This is contrary to the initial news that stated that the two stars weren’t comfortable. The latest news suggests otherwise.
