Rupert Murdoch ‘ended marriage with an 11-word email’
Rupert Murdoch, who is 92, allegedly delivered an abrupt 11-word email telling his Texan wife: “Jerry, sadly I’ve decided to call an end to our marriage.”
He reportedly added as a footnote: “We have certainly had some good times, but I have much to do… My New York lawyer will be contacting yours immediately.”
The news was reported in Vanity Fair magazine and the publication later wrote that Rupert’s plans to marry a fifth time had fallen through after two weeks.
Express.co.uk has contacted Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall’s representatives for comment.

In the years that followed, Rupert is alleged to have had multiple accident and Jerry is said to have been his carer and companion during those times.
Rupert also reportedly contracted Covid last year but made a full recovery, the same publication revealed.
In March, it was announced that he would be marrying Ann Lesley Smith – a dental hygienist turned radio host – but it is said that they clashed over topics such as abortion and Ann’s evangelical views.
Rupert had previously gushed to the New York Post that he was falling in love for the “last” time and expected to remain with Ann for the rest of his life.
However, weeks later, Ann – who had described their relationship as “a gift from God” – and Rupert called it quits.
Rupert Murdoch’s representatives previously declined to comment when approached by Express.co.uk.
