Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Jay-Z among richest billionaires in the world
Jay-Z sums up what it takes to be a billionaire and an entertainer: “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man.”
He and several business-savvy celebrities from Tinseltown have graced Forbes‘ list of the world’s richest billionaires.
Singer Rihanna and reality star Kim Kardashian have risen along with Jay-Z to top billionaire status on the list that was released April 4.
However, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” personality’s ex-husband Kanye West fell off the tally after his brand partnership with Adidas ended earlier this year.
Rihanna, creator of Fenty Beauty, 35, took the spot at number 2,002 and is worth $1.4 billion.
Roc-A-Fella Records CEO Jay-Z, 53, placed at 1,217 and is valued at $2.5 billion.
Kim Kardashian, the Skims founder, 42, was put at the numeral 2,259 and her wealth is priced at $1.2 billion.
Among the other top earners on the list are Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and Michael Jordan.
Tesla founder Elon Musk was dethroned as the world’s richest person alive, with LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault beating him to the list’s apex.
The South Africa-born business magnate, 51, raked in $180 billion, while the fashion retailer, 74, brought in $211 billion.
LVMH is the parent company of more than 70 luxury style labels such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Tiffany’s, Sephora and even Fenty Beauty.
The organization added about $53 billion to its net worth over the year, which is the highest jump of any billionaire, Forbes reported.
Amazon mastermind Jeff Bezos was third on the catalog, cashing in at $114 billion.
Kardashian’s sister Kyle Jenner was also knocked off of the lineup, having last been on it in 2019 when she was given the title of the youngest self-made billionaire in the world.
As for West, 45, the “Jesus Walks” rapper was the highest-paid hip-hop musician of 2021 alongside Jay-Z.
His Yeezy fashion line once added to his billionaire status alongside his music; however, when he made antisemitic remarks last year, Adidas canned their working relationship.
West’s billionaire net worth then diminished in October 2022 because of the sports brand cutting their ties, thus dragging his net worth down to about $400 million.
