TL;DR
- Oppo will launch the Find X6 series on March 21.
- The company’s latest teaser confirms the giant round camera island on the phones.
It seems there are a bunch of new phones launching next week. After Huawei confirmed the P60 series and the Mate X3 launch for March 23, Oppo has also revealed that the Find X6 series will debut on March 21.
Oppo’s latest flagship phones have been in the news for a while. Leaks have suggested there could be three Find X6 devices this year — two Pro models and a standard variant. However, we may end up with just two versions, a vanilla and a Pro model.
At least one of the phones, likely the Find X6 Pro, will feature a behemoth camera module at the back. Oppo’s latest teaser gives us a glimpse at it, but a recently leaked image courtesy of tipster IceUniverse provides a much better look.
Oppo is tipped to use Sony’s one-inch IMX989 sensor for the phone’s primary camera. This is the same sensor found in Xiaomi’s 12S Ultra. Other expected camera sensors on the phone include a 50MP ultrawide sensor, a 50MP zoom lens, and a 32MP selfie camera. Hasselblad tuning will once again appear on the phone.
Other upgrades on the Find X6 Pro seem pretty obvious. Leaks suggest the phone will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, the same 5,000mAh battery and 50W wireless charging as the Find X5 Pro, a 6.7-inch LTPO display, 8/12GB RAM, and 128/256/512GB storage. The wired charging speed could get an upgrade from 80W to 100W.
Lastly, the latest teaser from Oppo also suggests at least one of the Find X6 models could come with a leather finish at the back.
