Rumours began swirling Jowita, 28, and Giovanni were dating while they were competing in the 2022 edition of the juggernaut BBC series, having been ‘caught kissing’ backstage.
The dancers were later spotted out on a date night holding hands in January, with Giovanni shortly afterward opening up about wanting marriage and children.
But just two months after confirming the relationship, the duo are thought to have called it quits.
It is claimed Giovanni’s busy schedule, which includes a five-month tour, has made spending time together ‘absolutely impossible.’
A source told The Sun: ‘Giovanni is on tour for the next five months and trying to make time for each other has proved absolutely impossible.
‘Although their relationship has ended Giovanni and Jowita said they will stay good friends.
‘It is just a shame they couldn’t make it work.’
Giovanni has previously been involved with the likes of Maura Higgins, Jess Wright, Ashley Roberts and Georgia May Foote.
During a chat with Anton Du Becke, 51 for an episode of Anton and Giovanni’s Adventures In Sicily, he opened up about dating.
‘My mum asks me questions constantly, “Giovanni what is the situation?”’, Giovanni told Anton.
He continued: ‘Because every time I date a girl I always tell her and say ‘What do you think about this? What do you think about her?”
‘She always asks, “Is she The One. You know I want a baby before I pass away?”. Of course, I want a family one day. You just have to find the right person first.’
The famous pro insisted he was interested in meeting his match but was focused on his career first: ‘There is a fine line about wanting to be in a relationship and be with somebody because you get lonely.’
Jowita, meanwhile, was a new addition to Strictly last year and was eventually crowned champion along with wildlife camera operator, Hamza Yassin.
