Stranger Things star David Harbour had the sweetest response to his co-star Noah Schnapp after he came out as gay last month.

The 18-year-old actor rose to fame at the tender age of 12 after winning the role of Will Byers in the hit Netflix drama.

On Thursday January 5, Noah shared a video of himself wearing a grey hoodie lying on the floor, referencing his iconic character, he wrote: ‘I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought.’

The star captioned the clip: ‘When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was “we know.”‘

During the TikTok, he synched to the popular sound: ‘You know what it never was: that Serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, it would never be that serious.’

Noah’s Stranger Things family expressed how proud they were of him, and David Harbour – who plays Jim Hopper on the series – was the latest to share how proud he was of him.

‘I’m always happy for people that are true to themselves and come out,’ he told E! News.

‘That was terrific.’

Adorable!

Last year, Noah teased how Will’s story will come ‘full circle’ in season five of Stranger Things, after his character’s disappearance in the first outing set off the series of events that resulted in the gang meeting Eleven and fighting the forces of darkness in the Upside Down.

‘I can just tell you that I’m very very excited for what’s to come,’ he told Forbes.

In Stranger Things news, Noah’s co-star Finn Wolfhard recently teased the release date for the fifth and final season.

Series four ended with the town of Hawkins, Indiana finally fully exposed to the Upside Down, with Vecna planning his next move for world domination.

Viewers knew they were going to be left waiting until at least 2024 to find out the fate of their favourites, but Finn, 20, says it might be even longer.

‘By the time [Stranger Things season 5] comes out, I will be 22, I think. And I started working on the show when at 12. That is insane,’ he said.

In an interview with GQ, he continued: ‘I’ll be able to drink with the whole cast at the premiere of Stranger Things 5… it blows my mind.

Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix.
