Driver ruins £65k Porsche by smashing it into pub at ‘ridiculous speed’

COPS are searching for the driver of a £65,000 Porsche who ran off after smashing their car into a pub at “ridiculous speed”.

The mystery motorist crash into the Tyr Winch pub in Cardiff, Wales, before fleeing the scene as emergency services arrived.

South Wales Police said that the car was spotted in the Newport Road area at around 8.55pm on Sunday evening, before hitting the pub about five minutes later.

Officers are now investigating the incident and hoping to forensically identify whoever was behind the wheel.

The airbags, which activated during the terrifying collision, have been recovered as part of the investigation.

The car appears to be a Porsche Cayenne, the German manufacturer’s luxury 4×4 model.

A new Cayenne currently retails at £65,000.

South Wales Police tweeted pictures of the wreckage and appealed for information.

They wrote: “This one failed to stop for us and made of at ridiculous speeds in Cardiff. We unfortunately lost sight of it. 

“Call then received that vehicle had crashed. Occupants decamped.”

They added: “Car recovered and airbags will be forensically examined to ID driver!”
