Chrome feature for iPhone: Google announces new Chrome feature for iPhones: How will it help users | – Times of India
How does the new feature work
According to 9to5Google, the default behaviour of Chrome on iOS loads links alongside other open tabs that share your cookies and account sign-in information. iOS users can go to Chrome Settings to enable the latest feature. As per the report, here’s how you can enable the feature:
- Open the Chrome browser on your iOS device.
- Go to Settings.
- Then, go to the Privacy and Security tab.
- Search for the Ask to Open Links from Other Apps in Incognito option and enable it.
- After the feature is enabled, tapping a link in an external app will first bring up a fullscreen prompt.
- The URL that you have clicked on will be displayed, and a Open in Incognito? option will appear with instructions on how to hide this browsing session from history and other people who use this device.
Google Chrome new feature for iPhone users: Importance
Google Chrome’s new feature for iOS can come in handy for families using shared devices — like iPads, that still doesn’t support the multi-user functionality. This feature can also help users to sign in to other accounts without having to manually copy their credentials.
Meanwhile, Google has released Chrome version 108 for iPhone users. Now, users using Google Password Manager and extensions from credential providers will see favicons next to the site credentials. As per the report, users will also notice improvements in stability and performance with this new update.
