Driver parks Range Rover across two bays – but is he in the wrong?
A DRIVER who parked his Range Rover across two bays says he does it to prevent hitting other cars – but is he in the wrong?
Yianni Charalambous, from London, shared a video to TikTok justifying his “inconsiderate” parking which left the public divided.
The 46-year-old said he parks his chrome-plated car – which has a personalised number plate – in the middle of two spaces so his door doesn’t hit another car and vice versa.
“As you can see I’ve taken two spaces. Some people are gonna call me a d**k, other people actually understand why,” Yianni said in the viral video.
“Look how close it is. [I’ve] gotta squeeze out and make sure I don’t hit it.
“Other people, they’ll just push the door, bang.”
Gaining attention in the retail park car park, one man told Yianni: “I wouldn’t do it, it’s inconsiderate.”
While another simply said the parking was “awful”.
And one woman even went as far as telling Yianni he parked like that because he is “sad” and has “got no life”.
“You need to get a life,” she added. “A two stone cat is more interesting than a two stone car.”
However, one woman was quick to agree with the businessman as she told him: “My car is small and I have the same problem.”
She claimed someone had opened their car door and hit hers when trying to get out.
Another agreed saying: “I would park exactly the same as you.”
Yianni made a name for himself customising cars for multiple Premier League footballers, Anthony Joshua, Harry Styles and more – he goes by the name Yiannimize.
With starting prices from around £2,000 that rises to as much £10,000, Yianni makes a living from his Enfield-based garage.
