George Clooney hopes he’s ‘out of it’ when daughter dates
George Clooney admitted he is comfortable being more advanced in age than other parents and added he looked forward to watching his twins grow up. The legendary actor, 61, and his wife Amal Clooney, 44, welcomed their four-year-old twins, son Alexander and daughter Ella, in 2017.
The Ocean’s Eleven actor spoke out about being an older parent during an interview with Hoda Kotb for Today that aired on Monday.
George admitted he had come to terms with fears about raising children at an older age.
“I kind of like the idea of being sort of out of it, when my daughter starts to date,” he said.
George’s Ticket to Paradise co-star Julia Roberts, 54, said the pair did not choose to start families until they were ready for the responsibilities of being a parent.

He commented: “I knew from the minute I met her that everything was going to be different.
“I just said, ‘Well, I mean, if you’re in” and she said, ‘I think we should try.’ I have to say it was very emotional because I really was convinced that wasn’t my lot in life and was comfortable with that.”
Meanwhile, the star was joined by his wife on CBS Mornings on Wednesday, in order to promote their new awards show, the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s inaugural Albie Awards last month.
George revealed it was a huge mistake teaching his intelligent kids a new language, especially one which they don’t speak themselves.
“We made a terrible mistake. We taught them Italian… but we don’t speak Italian,” he explained.
“We’ve armed them with a language they can harm us with, and we don’t really know what they’re saying,” the Ocean’s Eleven actor admitted, adding they also speak French.
The pair went on to reveal more about their children, explaining that their son Alexander is becoming quite the prankster.
Amal said: “Our son is now a big prankster. You’ve taught him all of these lessons and now he’s pranking his dad back.”
