MPPSC declares revise pre-results of SSE-2019 six months after MPHC order – Times of India
Indore: Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has on Monday declared revised results of prelims of State Service Examination (SSE)-2019 declaring 13279 candidates qualified under two list formulas- main and provisional.
The MP high court directed the commission for SSE-2019 pre-result revision on April 7 this year, while declaring exam rules 2020 as ultra vires. The exam rules barred meritorious category (OBC, SC, ST) students’ selection to UR seats at prelims and mains examination stage.
Of those 13279 qualified candidates, 13180 will appear in mains examination for state services for 593 posts including 22 for ex-army men and 90 will appear for six posts for forest services.
The commission in an official communique published on its website declared that all those qualified will have to appear in mains examination scheduled to be held in January next year.
The selected candidates will have to fill the form for the mains examination but those who had already filled form for it under the earlier result are exempted from filing it, commission stated.
The exempted candidates are those who appeared in mains examination before the MP high court directed for pre-result revision.
MPPSC OSD R Panchbhai said, “The commission declared revised prelims results for SSE-2019 under two list formulas. As many as 13180 declared qualified for state service examination and 99 for forest services to appear in mains.”
“Earlier, only 10,767 were qualified in prelims results declared earlier. The new formula provides chances to more students to appear in mains examination”, Panchbhai said.
In the two-list formula, the commission broke the total 593 advertised posts into two parts- 87% and 13%. The results are published for 87% of posts under main list and provisional list for 13% post.
In the provisional list, 13% candidates from UR category and OBC category are selected, whose final selection will depend on the outcome of 27% OBC reservation issue pending before court.
Similarly, the commission declared results for 193 posts of dental surgeon written examination, where 227 candidates were declared qualified in the main list for 87% of the total posts.
Interestingly in the examination, the commission couldn’t find any qualified candidates for the provisional list.
