Rosie Jones has slammed a vile tweet full of ‘entitlement, misogyny and homophobia’ shortly after a powerful post celebrating World Lesbian Day.

The 32-year-old comedian has been open about her sexuality and she was left mortified by a reply on Twitter.

Reflecting on the way she’s grown over the years Rosie, who has cerebral palsy, wrote: ‘I can’t be a lesbian, I love wearing dresses. I have long hair. I’m disabled. For ages I didn’t accept my sexuality. I couldn’t relate to any of the archaic stereotypes associated with the word.

‘Happy World Lesbian Day to all lesbians, no matter what you look like or who you are!’

While most people flooded the post with genuinely heartwarming and appropriate messages of support, one person decided to go in a different direction with a shocking response.

They replied: ‘Just keep being you, having said that I am quite disappointed that a female with such nice breasts is a lesbian. Love you Rosie.’

While the comedian admitted she didn’t have the ‘time or energy’ to fully delve into the offensive tweet, she did call out the person for the ‘enraging’ and ‘disgusting’ reply.

She wrote: ‘I have no time or energy to explain how wrong this is, but the entitlement, misogyny and homophobia in this tweet, disguised as ‘support’ for me, is enraging.

‘It’s not funny and nobody should have to put up with this disgusting behaviour. Call this out and be better.’

In the past, Rosie has revealed how she wants to able to inspire more gay disabled people to be open and comfortable in themselves.

‘Growing up, I never saw someone disabled on telly. Although I had a happy childhood, in terms of the media, I never felt valid,’ she previously told Attitude.

‘I wanted to change that. I wanted somebody to tell my story,’ she explains. ‘As I got older, I thought, no one can tell my story apart from me.’
