Bully 2 Might Be in the Works After GTA 6, According to GTA Insider
Rumors about Rockstar Games’ next course of action with GTA 6 seem to be never ending, as fans continue to wait for more news following its recent blockbuster leaks.
While the community sit with their arms crossed in the hopes of Rockstar revealing some news in the near future, it seems like the developers might already be looking ahead with plans after the release of GTA 6.
According to popular GTA insider Tez2, the developers at the American studio are reportedly looking to revisit another one of its classic franchises in Bully with a rumored sequel set to arrive sometime after the release of the next title in the Grand Theft Auto series.
Tez2 further detailed about the rumored development of the sequel, which was initially in the works for two years. While Rockstar Games shelved its development, with the company focusing more on GTA 6, it seems like the project might be revisited once the latter drops.
The original title released 17 years ago, and it involved players being thrusted into the shoes of a young student, as he causes havoc in his boarding school. With a third-person camera, players relived their experiences as their younger selves in a smaller open-world compared to Rockstar’s other major titles in the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption franchises.
It’s unclear whether the new rumored title will be a continuation of the story of the original Bully, which centered around James “Jimmy” Hopkins in the Bullworth Academy. Just like Rockstar’s other franchises, a new Bully title will definitely be quite controversial due to its gameplay and visuals, and it will be interesting to see if the company jumps the gun and develops a sequel in the near future.
