Enjoy a relaxing holiday in the Mallorca hills at Carrossa Hotel
The five-star resort is in the northeast of the island, standing on one of the gentle Llevant hills, close to the romantic little town of Arta. On the grounds, there is the welcoming reception, two restaurants – Carrossa and Bistro Badia – to enjoy, an outdoor and indoor pool, and spa facilities. For my weekend trip, I had the luxury of residing in a spacious junior suite, complete with a furnished terrace overlooking the hills.
At night-time, I would highly recommend relaxing on the terrace, sipping on your favourite drink, and gazing up at the breathtaking twinkling in the sky.
The suite itself is a luxurious space, complete with a generous walk-in shower, made of natural stone, a lovely deep bath, and double sinks – perfect for couples.
Soft robes were provided for my stay, alongside slippers, so I was able to comfortably lounge around the bathroom, bedroom, office space and living area.
Amenities include pillow service, where you can request the type of bed pillow you would prefer, the mini bar, and a bag to transport your towels to and from the pool.

Whether it’s the morning, afternoon, or evening, the two restaurants offer delicious meals.
Breakfast is based at the Carrossa restaurant, which offers a spread of cheeses, meat, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, jams, bread and pastries.
Here, you can enjoy the panoramic views of the hills, which can also be enjoyed while seating down for dinner.
On my first evening, I had the the fine dining menu of the day, which consisted of four courses.
To start with, I had the roasted eggplant with spicy sauce, then the duck liver parfait with figs and crispy bread.
For the main, the options included veal cheeks, roasted onion, or cod confit.
I had the latter, and it did not disappoint, especially as it was accompanied by a spicy tomato sauce with olives, capers, chilli, and oregano.
The meal was finished off with a creme brûlée with seasonal fruits, and a refreshing cool glass of Viognier.
To enjoy the most beautiful sunset, overlooking a glimpse of the ocean, I propose eating at Bistro Badia, which I did on the second evening.
In addition to the superbly relaxing resort, there are four 18-hole golf courses nearby.
If you fancy a game, you can drive (or take a taxi) to: Capdepera Golf, Canyamel, Pula and Son Servera.
