Can you give bonded teen dogs Hugo and Harvey a retirement home together?
Meet Hugo ad Harvey – two 13-year-old dogs who are looking for a retirement home to see out their twilight years together.
The teens have lived together their whole lives, so they certainly can’t be separated now.
They can be a bit nervous with new people, but once they get to know you, they’ll love to have your attention and affection.
Since they can be a bit shy, staff at Dogs Trust, the charity caring for the pooches, say they’ll be better off in a home with kids who are over 14.
They’ll also want to be the only dogs in the home.
You may have noticed that little Harvey only has three legs, but he’s still a happy-go-lucky guy.
The pair have other medical issues between them – which is hardly surprising given their advanced years – but a vet will chat potential adopters through the finer points.
Described as ‘the sweetest boys’, Hugo and Harvey are currently living it up in a foster home.
Even though they’re in a foster home in Leeds for now, being well-loved and cared for, what they really need is a forever home they can really settle into.
If you think your home could be right for the pair, you can enquire on the Dogs Trust website.
