Jeremy Clarkson confesses he’s a secret fan of Dua Lipa
The 62-year-old was hosting the latest instalment of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? when the Don’t Start Now singer was the subject of a question.
Contestant Maria King returned to the chair to try her luck on the long-running quiz show in the hopes of bagging the million-pound pay cheque.
The first question posed by the Top Gear host was who Dua performed the megahit single Cold Heart with.
Looking completely flummoxed, Maria opted to use one of her lifelines and asked the audience, with 95% of them voting for Elton John.
Pointing out the response was clear-cut, Jeremy added that he too knew the answer.
With a poker face, he said: ‘I knew that, I don’t know how I knew. I think I’m just obsessed with Dua Lipa.’
It’s not surprising Jeremy is a fan of the chart topper, who has released a slew of bangers including New Rules and IDGAF.
Last month, the 26-year-old was also named an honorary ambassador of Kosovo and lived in Pristina as a child with her Albanian parents.
Posting pictures of the ceremony on Instagram, Dua said: ‘It’s an honour and a privilege to be able to represent my country all over the world and to continue my work and efforts globally to see that we leave our mark and make a difference.’
Meanwhile, Jeremy appeared, alongside long-term comrades James May and Richard Hammond, in The Grand Tour’s latest special.
A Scandi Flick made headlines when James was involved in a terrifying crash that saw him need hospital treatment, after smashing into a wall at high speed.
Reflecting on the crash, with Clarkson labelling May ‘the slowest driver in the history of motoring’, the motorhead went on to question just how ‘when we are travelling individually or with our families, do we get from A to B without incident — but as soon as we are all together, all hell breaks loose and there are fires and smashed ribs’.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? returns to ITV on Saturday at 9.30pm
