TikTok traveller Lou told her 76k followers her clever trick to reducing the costs if you have to use your phone on holiday.

She said in a video: “Why is no-one talking about this track hack that literally changes everything? An e-sim.

“You don’t need to buy a physical sim card and it’s saved me so much. hassle.

“You can buy a data package before even leaving your country.

“Once you get to your destination, you will have internet as soon as you land.

“And the best bit is it will be cheaper than buying a physical sim card with a data package.

She explained that the way to get it is to search for “getcontact e-sim” online.

From there, there are 114 countries which it works for, including most of Europe.

Nearly 200,000 people have watched the video.

One person wrote: “I only discovered this a month ago. It’s brilliant and saved me a fortune.”

A second agreed: “I always use e-sim and love it.”

However, others said it can be more affordable to pay for data roaming via your own provider.
