Mortal Kombat timeline order

Above, you had the full list of Mortal Kombat games, including spin-offs.

You can either play them in that order, or else you can play them in the order that we are going to show you below

This order is chronological and follows the game’s timeline.

The timeline order is:

  • Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero (1997)
  • Mortal Kombat: Special Forces (2000)
  • Mortal Kombat (1992)
  • Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (2005)
  • Mortal Kombat II (1993)
  • Mortal Kombat 3 (1995)
  • Mortal Kombar 4 (1997)

The Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe falls somewhere on the timeline, but it is a spin-off game which does not contribute as much to the full story of Mortal Kombat.

It falls somewhere after Raiden’s forces defeat Shao Kahn, somewhere between Mortal Kombat 4 and Armageddon.

It is similar to other spin-off games which are not mentioned in this timeline.

Although they do fall on the timeline, they do not actually contribute to it.
