Fortnite X The Last Of Us Crossover Will Reportedly Launch In September

It was recently rumored that a Fortnite X The Last of Us crossover will soon be happening in Fortnite, and now some new information from a credible source suggests the crossover will be launched in the same month that The Last of Us Part 1 Remake arrives.

According to a recent tweet from ShiinaBR, the well-known Fortnite leaker, the rumored The Last of Us crossover will potentially feature skins for both Joel and Ellie. The leaker claims that their sources have confirmed that this collaboration has been in the pipeline for months now.

Moreover, ShiinaBR claims that the release date of crossover is most likely in September 2022, the same month that The Last of Us Part 1 Remake is supposed to come out on PlayStation 5.

The rumor was first made public by Shpeshal Nick in the Xbox Era podcast, and then it was backed by a number of lower-profile leakers and insiders.

It’s yet to be known whether the upcoming Ellie and Joel outfits would be based on The Last of Us Part 1 or 2, but this is definitely going to be a crossover as big as that of Kratos in Fortnite.

Recently, Naughty Dog officially confirmed that The Last of Us Part 1 Remake has gone gold, which means the game will not be delayed, and PlayStation fans can enjoy the horrifying journey of Ellie and Joel in the apocalyptic US with next-gen visuals.

On the other hand, Fortnite players have been pretty busy with the game’s recent anime-themed outfits. Last week, Epic Games officially launched the No Sweat Summer limited-time event in Fortnite that delivers some new summer-themed skins to the game.

If Fortnite X The Last of Us Part crossover turns out to be true, this could probably be one of the most expensive crossovers that Epic Games brings to Fortnite.

Previously, PlayStation collaborated with Epic Games to bring Kratos and Aloy to Fortnite’s island. If The Last of Us crossover happens, it would be the third PlayStation-exclusive game that receives a crossover in Fortnite. That being said, The Last of Us Part 1 Remake will be available on PC at a later date.
