Dessert and celebrity hot spot bringing $99 sundaes and $150 burgers to Lone Tree
Looks like Lone Tree’s Park Meadows mall is poised to become a celebrity magnet.
In addition to the opening of Ciara and Russell Wilson’s clothing store, House of LR&C, the shopping center is getting ready to welcome the Sugar Factory, the glitzy, eye-popping dessert-focused eatery that has become a celebrity destination from Miami to Las Vegas to Los Angeles.
The mall lists Sugar Factory among its of stores coming soon and, according to permit filings with the City of Lone Tree, it will be located at 8441 Park Meadows Center Dr., in the space formerly home to Brio Tuscan Grille. (The Denver Post has inquired with Park Meadows, the City of Lone Tree and Sugar Factory for details and will update this story if they become available.)
But here are the basics: Sugar Factory American Brasserie, as it’s formally called, is an over-the-top eatery serving extravagant confections for both adults and children.
How extravagant? Think massive, eye-catching milkshakes dressed in sprinkles and topped with doughnuts and lollipops. The Campfire Spiked S’mores Milkshake is an adult-friendly dessert with whiskey that will set you back $31. One of the hallmarks of the menu is the World Famous Sugar Factory King Kong Sundae, a 12-person dessert with a whopping 20 scoops of ice cream plus outrageous toppings for $99.
And in the spirit of Las Vegas, where the concept originated, many items come with sparklers and 60-plus-ounce candy cocktails are served on dry ice for extra pizzazz. One such brunch libation is the Mimosa Popsicle Goblet, which comes with champagne, orange juice, orange slice, gummy bears and gummy cherry champagne popsicles for $39.

If you’re craving something savory, the restaurant also serves burgers, pastas, soups and salads. Your little ones might beg you for the Rainbow Sliders, which come on buns in bright colors. Or, for a $150 splurge, you can order the 24K Gold Burger dripping in gold leaf and served with a side of gold-dusted fries and a 24K Gold milkshake.
In addition to eating and drinking, you might very well spot famous faces around Sugar Factory. The business has a whole page on its website devoted to the musicians, TV stars and other celebrities that have stopped by or partnered with Sugar Factory on sweets.
Nick Cannon DJed a grand opening for the restaurant in Dallas last year and Pitbull attended a recent restaurant debut in Aventura, Florida. If you watch reality television, you’ve likely seen a Real Housewife or two painstakingly try to corral their sugar-fueled kids during a visit. And the Kardashians and the Jenners are frequent visitors as well.
Most of the Sugar Factory’s locations are massive – the location in Aventura, for example, is 7,000 square feet with seating for 250 people – and aesthetically designed to pop on your Instagram feed.
