Bradley Cooper linked to Huma Abedin, former Hillary Clinton aide
Hollywood heart-throb Bradley Cooper is off the market, dating someone outside of the usual celebrity circles.
A star couple is born: Bradley Cooper and Huma Abedin are dating.
The top aide to Hillary Clinton — and former wife of disgraced politician Anthony Weiner — has been seeing the A-lister for the past few months, according to multiple insiders, reported Page Six.
They were introduced by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who is close with both of them.
“Anna definitely played matchmaker,” one well-placed source says. “She’s BFFs with Bradley and adores Huma.”
A Hollywood insider confirms that “Bradley has been quietly dating Huma for a few months now, [and] they’ve been keeping it really quiet.
“Bradley broke up with [actor] Dianna Agron and started dating Huma.”
The well-placed source adds that Abedin “has told a few friends” she has a “new man … but she didn’t say who it was. She was keeping it very close to her chest.
“They are perfect for each other,” the source says. “They’re both into power and politics and human affairs.”
A representative for Abedin had no comment, while Cooper’s representative did not return a request for comment.
Page Six is told that the high-profile pair arrived together at the Met Gala on May 2 and then split up for the red carpet.
Abedin has said Wintour, 72, has been one of her most supportive friends in the wake of Weiner’s sexting scandal.
While promoting her memoir Both/And: A Life in Many Worlds in November, Abedin, an observant Muslim, told The Cut how she lost her virginity to Weiner when she married him at age 32.
She said the pair, who share 10-year-old son Jordan, are now in the “final stages” of their divorce.
“Bradley is a big step up from Anthony Weiner, to say the very least,” says the Hollywood insider.
Weiner, the former Democratic congressman from New York, was sentenced in 2017 to 21 months in prison for sexting with a minor. He served about 15 months in the Federal Medical Center in Massachusetts.
“I had my heart broken, dragged out, stomped on, humiliated. I lived with shame, in shame, for so long,” Abedin told The Cut. “In hindsight, I was in extreme trauma.”
Abedin said Wintour had been a great help, adding they went on movie dates: “And just being out and being with her, I just felt sort of normal and loved.”
Abedin and Weiner, 57, now live and co-parent in the same Manhattan building.
Cooper has been recently seen filming Maestro — a biopic on conductor Leonard Bernstein directed and starring the Oscar-nominated actor — in New York City. He has a 5-year-old daughter, Lea, with his model ex-fiancee, Irina Shayk, who was also at this year’s Met Gala.
