Written by Kieron Gillen and penciled by Esad Ribić, Eternals #7 kicks off a new arc in the latest series starring the collective of cosmic gods, originally created by Jack Kirby in 1976. The issue will see the Eternals matching wits and fists against Thanos as they continue to grapple with the terrifying reality behind their immortality — the fact that the Great Machine responsible for resurrecting Eternals kills a human with each rebirth.
Eternals #7 and the issue’s two variant covers go on sale Nov. 3. Chloé Zhao’s Eternals movie, the twenty-sixth entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, releases just two days later on Nov. 5. The film stars the likes of Richard Madden as Ikaris, Gemma Chan as Sersi and Angelina Jolie as Thena in a plot that introduces not only the immortal beings to the MCU, but also ushers in their sworn enemy, a race of destructive, genetically unstable humanoids known as the Deviants.
