Eerie ISS photo appears to show ‘DALEK stowaways’ watching us in space
SPACE fans had to look twice after spotting what looks like Daleks sneaking off the ISS.
One of the Space Station’s current residents shared an eerie photo of the “stowaways”.
Russian cosmonaut Sergey Korsakov saw the pair on a resupply ship after it undocked and left the ISS.
They appear to show two rounded objects with lights for eyes.
“Who are those stowaways watching us?” he tweeted.
Space sleuths quickly got to work guessing what they might be, with one suggesting it could be Doctor Who’s long-running enemy.
Others joked that it could be a far less menacing fictional charater.
Star Wars’ friendly droid R2-D2.
Korsakov hasn’t confirmed what the objects really are.
But as CNET reports, they are probably just some components that have caught the light.
So we need not worry about a massive Dalek invasion coming our way.
The spacecraft in question is called the Progress MS-18.
It’s a Russian ship that was stocked with dry cargo, fuel, oxygen and water to keep the ISS and its inhabitants going.
Nasa recently revealed plans to kill off the ageing Space Station by 2031.
