Got a Nintendo Switch? Download a surprise bonus for FREE right now
Nintendo Switch fans can download a brand new demo for an upcoming first-party exclusive.
Launching on Nintendo Switch this September, WarioWare: Get It Together is shaping up to be one of the most enjoyable multiplayer experiences of the year.
And Switch owners can get a taste of the action early with the launch of a free demo right now.
The WarioWare: Get It Together demo is available from the Nintendo Switch eShop at no cost.
“Whet your microgame appetite with a free WarioWare: Get It Together! demo, available now,” reads the official description.
“You can download it from Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch, or via this very page – just sign in and hit the ‘Download demo’ button to get started!”
The demo features a selection of microgames, which are playable as different characters from the sizeable cast.
Each character has a unique ability that can be used to complete the microgames before moving to the next one.
Wario’s microgames revolve around the use of his jetpack, while 18-Volt throws a disc to move objects, hit enemies and clear paint.
Interestingly, the ability-based action means that the same microgames can be completed in a number of different ways.
The demo even has two-person multiplayer support, although I’m yet to check this particular feature out.
“This time, two players can team up to tackle hundreds of quick and quirky microgames together,” Nintendo continues.
“Whether it‘s yanking armpit hairs or busting out of bin bags, you’ll need lightning fast reflexes to best these off-the-wall challenges!”
While the demo tasks players with completing as many microgames as quickly as possible, the full game will feature a host of different game modes.
This includes Story mode, which is where players will unlock the majority of bonus characters.
“Wario and his friends are trapped inside their company’s latest game—and only you can help them by clearing microgames. Play this first to unlock more characters and modes.”
Then there’s the Variety Pack, which contains ten different games for single and multiplayer. There’s also an online mode called the Wario Cup, which sees fans compete for a space on the leaderboards.
As a reminder, WarioWare: Get It Together launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on September 10.
