Genshin Impact livestream start time, Genshin 2.1 release date and new redeem codes

The Genshin Impact 2.1 release date will be announced today as part of the big Genshin livestream hosted on Twitch.

Developers Mihoyo is set to reveal all its big plans on Friday, August 20, as part of the ongoing expansion of the hit PS4, PC and Mobile game.

We already know a little part of what to expect from today’s show, including what characters to expect, and that there will be new Genshin Impact codes to redeem.

According to the latest news, Baal and Sara will be part of this week’s big 2.1 reveal, alongside a range of fresh Banners and events.

The new Genshin Impact livestream is going live at around the same time as the game’s latest event, The Phantom Flow.

According to the official description, Shousen, the master of Inazuma’s Shinryuu, is offering to help the Traveler initiate an imaginary, no-holds-barred fighting tournament, with a chance to win rewards for it.

New missions have also been added to Divine Thunder and completing them rewards you with BEP.

To take part, you will need to be at Adventure Rank 30 or above, and have completed the Archon Quest “Ritou Escape Plan” and the World Quest “Chisato’s Letter”.

WHEN IS THE GENSHIN IMPACT 2.1 LIVESTREAM?

Developers Mihoyo has confirmed that the Genshin Impact livestream has a start time set for today at 2pm BST on the official Genshin Impact Twitch Channel.

For those who want to watch it on YouTube, you’ll have to wait until later in the day for the broadcast to be uploaded and shared.

That’s without mentioning that PlayStation’s Aloy is expected to make her free Genshin Impact debut after the release of update 2.1.

Meanwhile, gamers playing on other platforms will have to wait until the launch of Genshin 2.2 before they can do the same.

However, it should be noted that Aloy isn’t guaranteed to unlock as soon as Genshin 2.1 has been deployed, meaning you might be waiting longer than September 2021.

As mentioned above, there will also be new Genshin Impact codes to redeem across all platforms.

There should be at least three new codes to use after the event, with some being collected from the other language streams.

Gamers can expect extra items and additional Primogems to add to their accounts after the event ends. Some recent examples include:

  • GenshinEpic
  • GenshinGalaxy
  • GENSHINGIFT
