Childhood sweethearts Marcus Rashford and Lucia Loi have got engaged. The couple, together for eight years, announced their news on Instagram this evening (May 25).
In a simple post on the social media platform, posted by United and England star Marcus, 24, and Lucia together, the pair revealed they agreed to marry yesterday — May 24. The photo of the couple kissing was accompanied by the caption on Marcus’ profile: “24.05.22 [heart] Lucia Loi.”
The snap shows the couple surrounded by romantic candles and flowers, which form a love heart shape. There are also white lights around the pair.

According to various reports, the couple were engaged following a romantic trip to Los Angeles. The Mirror reports that they were joined by some friends to celebrate the news, including United team-mate Jesse Lingard.
The pair had been together since they were still at school, but did briefly split up in 2021. However, they reconciled in the months since, with Marcus sharing photos of the couple together earlier in 2022 after they got back together around Christmas.
