Lydia is one of the NPCs you can marry in Skyrim, and she is considered to be one of those characters which a lot of players hate, but there are more players who like her as well. If you intend to marry Lydia, you need to complete a series of quests, starting off with Dragon Rising, which players get by meeting the Jarl of Whiterun after reaching Dragonsreach.

In a post, Reddit user u/Ollidor shares quite a hilarious incident while playing the game. As soon as the player marries Lydia, her clothes disappear from the screen. After the dialogue, she walks out of the room making the entire incident even more ridiculous. If this wasn’t enough, the timing of the final dialogue by Faendal, “I’ve got your back”, is something that makes the entire scene look pretty much scripted, although it is not.
The user goes on to explain how the issue occurred, by stating that they think it was due to the Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks SE mod. For those who are unaware, the Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks is a tweaker version of the original Amazing Follower Tweaks mod which adds new functionality and makes changes to the dialogue menu system. Another user agrees with what the original poster had stated, and goes on to explain how players can avoid the issue.
Basically, the bug occurs when there is clothing in Lydia’s inventory while the wedding is taking place. If the players remove the clothing from her inventory, she will default back to her armor and this issue should not occur. Likewise, if you want to recreate this bug, you should ensure that Lydia has clothes in her inventory while the wedding takes place.
