Redmi 10 with 50MP camera to launch in India soon, confirms company – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Xiaomi is all set to expand its smartphone lineup with the launch of a new Redmi smartphone. The company has confirmed that it will soon launch the Redmi 10 smartphone in India. The smartphone maker has not yet revealed the official launch date for the smartphone.
Xiaomi India took to Twitter to tease the launch of its upcoming smartphone. The company has tweeted a teaser image of the upcoming smartphone along with the caption ‘Redmi 10 coming soon’. As per the teaser image shared by the company, Redmi 10 will come in three colour options and a glossy back panel design. The rear panel also houses a quad-rear camera setup placed inside a rectangular module. The image also highlights that the smartphone will house a 50MP main sensor. The smartphone will also come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Successor to the last year launched Redmi 9, the Redmi 10 is also expected to come in three variants — 4GB+ 64GB, 4GB+ 128GB and 6GB+ 128GB.
Redmi 10 expected specifications
Redmi 10 is said to run Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 12.5 on top. The smartphone is expected to come with a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The smartphone display is said to come with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Redmi 10 is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. The handset is said to come in two storage options — 64GB and 128GB.
Redmi 10 will sport a quad-rear camera setup with 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. The front is said to house an 8MP selfie shooter. The device is said to be backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging support.
