Marvel’s Classic Fun and Games Magazine Gets a Modern Paperback Collection

Abrams Books has published the Marvel Big Book of Fun and Games, a 144-page paperback featuring a slew of classic activities originally published in Marvel’s fan-favorite Fun and Games magazine.

The Marvel Big Book of Fun and Games is available for purchase as of today, May 3. With a cover price of $14.99 USD, the paperback collection boasts over 100 activities, an introduction by former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Roy Thomas and cover art by Doaly.

The cover features a number of iconic Marvel superheroes, namely Spider-Man, Storm, Black Panther, the Falcon, Shang-Chi, Spider-Woman and Wolverine. Additionally, a sneak peek within the book itself offers a preview of full-color activities starring the likes of Captain America, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, the Vision, Ant-Man, the Wasp and more.

“The ULTIMATE fun-filled, full-color Marvel activity book for the whole family, featuring legendary Super Heroes & Villains!” an official synopsis for the activity book reads. “Can you solve riddles with the genius of Iron Man? Marvel published the debut issue of Fun and Games Magazine in June 1979. The activity comic book series ran for exactly one calendar year, with its 13th and final issue hitting shelves in June 1980. The original Fun and Games series featured cover artwork by the late Owen McCarron, who also worked as an inker on titles like Spidey Super Stories and Ghost Rider.
