IIM-Bodh Gaya takes re-branding of Bihar’s image on mission mode – Times of India
The institute hosted Sanjay Kumar, additional chief secretary, education department, government of Bihar and Mayank Warwade, commissioner, Magadh Division, Gaya as chief guest and guest of honour at the event.
Bihar has always been known for its glorious history. But the state is now progressing fast in today’s era with respect to the increase in the GDP rates for the last three years and is on the journey of writing a new story of its development. The documentary aims to make the youth of Bihar aware of all the avenues available here and motivate them to contribute to the development of Bihar.
Bihar has a gamut of opportunities and resources in the tourism sector, textile and handloom, food processing, fisheries, dairy, and all other industries. The strategic geographical location of Bihar is an enabler in the development of the state, and the existing resources in the state will open the way for innumerable employment options. There is ample scope for the talent of the state who are migrating from Bihar. They ought to consider the developmental opportunities available to them here and take an active part in the country’s growing economy.
Post the premiere of the documentary, Vinita Sahay, director, IIM-Bodh Gaya, appreciated the hard work of all the students involved in this project. Sahay mentioned that it is paramount as an educator to teach the students to take pride in the things that belong to them in patriotic fervor, like the badge of being a student of Bodh Gaya.
Kumar highlighted the various aspects of Bihar like the culture, cuisine, historical value, etc. He spoke about the strong effects of the British era on the growth of Bihar and how the socio-economic situation has grown post Independence.
Warwade spoke about the geographical aspects of Bihar. He mentioned the agricultural treasures of the state and highlighted how these treasures are harvested to bring in revenues for the state.
