Stacey Solomon, 32, has finally shown off her completed ‘mermaid room’ in her £1.2 million home, dubbed Pickle Cottage. The Loose Women presenter proudly captured her “favourite room” in a post that she shared on Instagram with more than five million fans who follow her.
The breathtaking new white bathroom is complete with beige tiles, a shiny wall that resemble a mermaid’s scales, and an adorable shell-shaped sink. Sharing the video on social media, Stacey wrote: “Mermaid Bathroom done. Here she is… finally. This is where you will find me from now on.”
“I think this may be my favourite room at Pickle Cottage so far. I painted this room black and white when we moved in because we knew it would be a year or so before we could do it properly but it was worth the wait! Happy Saturday everyone.”

Many fans of the TV star express that the room was just the right match for her as they quickly compared her to a mermaid because of her red hair. Some said she was just like Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. One fan wrote: “I was hoping you would be dressed as Ariel! Such a gorgeous bathroom.”
Another added: “We need a photo of you and rose in mermaid costumes in here, absolutely beautiful”. A third fan said: “Bathroom is beautiful Stacey and so are you [heart emoji] loved this reel.”
Stacey reached a special milestone last month, as she has lived in her home Pickle Cottage with her family of seven for a year. It was 12 months since she moved into her new home in Essex with partner Joe Swash, their son Rex, and Stacey’s two sons from previous relationships. Since moving in, the pair have also welcomed baby daughter Rose.
Stacey has made a number of incredible changes both on the inside and the outside ever since she first moved into the property. She’s been documenting their progress of Instagram since “falling in love” with the property.
