For the academic year 2021-22, the Goa Board introduced a special scheme for Class X and XII. Under it, the academic year has been divided into two terms.

The first terminal examination was held in December/January for 50% of the portion and it was in the form of multiple-choice questions. The second terminal exam will be held for the remaining 50% of the portion and the exam will be in the form of subjective questions. The Board has said that this special scheme pattern is in line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

“The Goa Board is one of the few state boards in the country with this terminal system of examination keeping in view NEP 2020,” the board said.
