iPhone users, Apple wants your ‘help’ in making its software better – Times of India
It has now been about two months since Apple gave a glimpse into what we can expect from the new software updates for its devices. At WWDC 2021, Apple showcased iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, macOS Monterey. Since then the beta versions have been launched and now Apple is looking to expand the beta program. And for that it wants users to try out its software and give feedback in making it better.
“The iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS Monterey, tvOS 15, and watchOS 8 public betas are now available. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can help shape Apple software by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think,” Apple said in an email to those in the beta software program.
As a beta tester — you can become one for free — users have the chance to report bugs, experience new features and see what the final public version of the software could look like. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you’ll be able to enroll your devices to access the public betas and try out the latest features. You can provide feedback directly to Apple using the Feedback Assistant app.
Do note that beta versions of software may have a lot of bugs and the experience might not be as smooth as expected. “Please note that since the public beta software has not yet been commercially released by Apple, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially released software,” Apple states on its website. Having said that, we have been beta testing iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 for a while now and it has been a rather glitch-free experience.
