Ninjacart acquires SaaS platform Tecxprt to streamline supply chain
Ninjacart, which is backed by Walmart, said the acquisition would help it and Flipkart digitise their operations and help facilitate real-time communication across the food supply chain.
Thirukumaran Nagarajan, cofounder and CEO of Ninjacart, said, “We are thrilled to have the Tecxprt team on board With this acquisition, we will further strengthen our position as a one-stop solution for agri-players, retailers and small businesses supplying agri commodities across the country.”
Founded in 2015, Ninjacart operates in seven cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi and Mumbai. It procures fresh fruits and vegetables directly from farmers and supplies them to retailers, hotels, restaurants and even apartment complexes.
The acquisition comes after the company said on March 4 that it had
set aside $25 million to invest in agritech startups.
