Harley Quinn Reveals Which Robin She Thinks Is the Absolute Worst

In Future State: Gotham #11, Harley Quinn gives her thoughts to the Next Batman on who the worst Robin is.

Harley Quinn just settled her side of the debate regarding who the worst Robin is in Future State: Gotham.

In a preview for Future State: Gotham #11 written by Dennis Culver with art by Geoffo, the clown princess labels Jason Todd/Red Hood to be the worst sidekick that Batman ever took on. She makes the statement as she questions the Next Batman, Jace Fox, for working with Red Hood. In Future State: Gotham, Jason and Jace have become their own dynamic duo while taking on crime in the city, with their latest threat being the Next Joker.

Harley’s negative opinion of Red Hood comes after the two have had little interaction in comics, compared to the amount of time they have spent on-page with other members of the Bat Family. The last time the two were seen sharing panels in DC’s main continuity was during the events of Batman: Joker War in late 2020. The one bond the two share is their hatred for the Joker, something Jason mentions in the preview to convince Harley to help him.

Most of Harley and Jason’s interactions appear to happen outside of DC’s main continuity. In DCeased, a zombie-filled Elseworld story, Jason and Harley lived in Poison Ivy’s Garden stronghold for years alongside other survivors. Writer Tom Taylor recently announced the third installment in the series, though it is unlikely that Jason and Harley will team up in the title again. Jason was killed off in the series’ second main installment, DCeased: Dead Planet.

As for other stories seeing the two together, a few have involved times when Jason had to work with the Suicide Squad, of which Harley is a frequent member. This team-up can be seen in both DC Rebirth’s Red Hood and the Outlaws run, as well as the the DC Black Label story Suicide Squad: Get Joker!. Similar to Future State: Gotham, the latter book features Harley and Jason working together to take out the Clown Prince of Crime.
