Japanese Game Developer Declares Holiday So Employees Can Play Elden Ring

Elden Ring has just released and is responsible for creating massive waves in the gaming industry. The new flagship instalment by FromSoftware has done wonders in the review department on its launch and all game fanatics can only be seen raving about the beauties of Elden Ring. Whenever a game like these releases, interested players would love to take a couple of days off and just enjoy their new fantasy adventure comfortably on their couch.

Unfortunately, most organisations do not understand the relevance of such kind of a need of people, but luckily this isn’t the case today. The release of Elden Ring is a big day for many, and is this game has been created in Japan, Japanese developers understand the significance of this flagship release.

As reported by Gamerant, a Japanese game development company that goes by the name Pocket Pair, has dubbed the release day of Elden Ring, 25^th February 2022, as Elden Day, and provided all of their employees an off to go play the game. Their philosophy behind this decision has been applauded by all. The seniors at the company feel that their employees would not be able to concentrate on work as their mind would be diverted towards Elden Ring.

Therefore, they have allotted the 25^th February, a Friday as a holiday so that the employees can enjoy a long weekend and get the most out of the game before re-joining work on Monday. When you see these kinds of things happen, they can truly bring tears to a gamer’s eyes.

A decision like this would be beneficial for the organisation as the gaming industry is filled with gaming fanatics and these gamers are known to call in sick or take a leave when a game like Elden Ring comes out. So rather than struggling to work with less number of employees on such a day, gaming companies could provide them with an off. This will also keep the morale of the employees up as a certain level of satisfaction can be achieved through this move.
